How to Maximise Your Time & Plan for a Productive 2023?

Did 2022 go by too fast? Let’s not let 2023 slip away from us! It’s been a trying period, and everyone is still healing from the pandemic. Now is the right time to push harder and plan to achieve what we didn’t do this year, establish new objectives, and work towards them.

Have you made plans for your new year’s resolutions? Well, there are still a couple of days left if you still haven’t. It’s that time of the year to rewrite, upgrade and list your goals.

Let’s not leave any room for more excuses; focus on what you want to achieve this upcoming year. How can you make the most of this coming year?

1. Set Daily Goals.

Set a clear goal for each working day to allow you to focus on specific tasks. By breaking down daily goals into various tasks, you will only focus on that particular task within the allotted time. The delight of crossing things off your list will keep you motivated to tackle more.

Pro Tip: Write your daily goals, allowing you to clearly remember the task and give them greater attention. This practice saves energy from remembering your tasks and will enable you to concentrate fully on one task at a time.

2. Mornings or Nights, which would you choose?

All individuals have their own unique productive time. Some are morning people who get a lot of things done in the morning, while others do better the other way around.

Identifying your most productive times is the preliminary stage toward getting more done since it will help you prioritise your critical goals. Determining the optimal periods for your body and mind will increase productivity.

Pro Tip: Keep a monthly record of your daily activities and emotions. You’ll understand your peak and off-peak hours throughout the day, and this analysis will help you determine how and when to prioritise your work.

3. No more skipping meals.

Meals give your body the energy to be alert and focused. Skipping meals may make you feel sluggish in the morning and make it difficult to concentrate.

According to the Harvard Business Review, eating influences our ability to think and make decisions. Thus, the first step in being productive is to consume suitable meals to stay on top of your game at all times.

Pro Tip: Signup with Fortify, a meal prep service that will take care of you and your meals while you focus on your daily responsibilities and save time.

4. One thing at one time

Multitasking is a deception that wastes more time than it saves. To make matters worse, research has shown that multitasking has a range of negative impacts on the brain over time, increasing distractibility and trouble concentrating.

Pro Tip: Follow the Pomodoro technique, which is a famous strategy for increasing productivity. The Pomodoro method entails working in 25-minute intervals with 5-minute breaks in between. Practising this method trains the brain to focus and resist all self-distractions, and every Pomodoro is devoted to a single activity. Each break is an opportunity to refocus on what you should focus on.

5. Exercise Regularly.

Morning exercise helps you be more productive throughout the day. Exercise enhances your cardiovascular system, stamina, and endurance by allowing oxygen and nutrients to pass to your heart and lungs.

According to Harvard Business Review, employees’ work experiences improved on days when they went to the gym. They reported better time management, more productivity, and more pleasant relationships with coworkers.

Pro Tip: Exercising for thirty minutes every day may increase overall vitality. Staying active allows middle-aged people to maintain cardiovascular fitness, metabolism, and muscular function comparable to younger people. Many studies have demonstrated that those who were more active during their midlife could maintain their mobility — and thereby their independence — as they grow older.

Fortify Meals has helped 500 individuals save time and thereby spend more time doing what they love. We help people save, on average, about 7 hours each week. With maximised time and increased productivity, our customers get to focus more on their businesses, new projects, their career and even spend time with their families.

Let’s make this year more productive than the one before! It is essential to identify what works for you and stick to it. Be bold and explore new concepts. Be gentle with yourself when it gets tough, and know that tomorrow is another chance to do better.
