‘Fortify Meals reduced my stressors and still helped me reach the desired results’

Claire, the content creator behind Claire Curves, feels that Fortify fits into any lifestyle. She tells us all about her favourite meals and how Fortify has helped her build her desired healthy lifestyle.

Tell us a little about yourself and why you decided to make a change to your health?

My name is Claire, a body positivity content creator and mum of two. I have always been overweight, but it didn’t really hinder my life too much. In the past two years, however, I gained a significant amount of weight and had been feeling lethargic and was losing motivation to be active at all. So, I decided to try and make a positive change to improve my health and start feeling like myself again.

What goals did you achieve this past year?

Besides losing weight, I also learnt a lot about food, I feel better about myself, and besides starting personal training, I am also being more active even in my day-to-day life. I now make smarter decisions and have realised that you can eat out once in a while because it is the consistency in your everyday life that helps you make a change.

How did Fortify Meals help you achieve your goals?

I wanted to try and start making smarter choices when it came to my food, but I have had such a terrible time trying different ‘diets’ throughout the years, that for me, eating healthy meant my life would be dominated by counting calories, weighing food, and only eating chicken breast and boiled veggies. With Fortify, I did not have to worry about this as I had a lot of variety and did not have to weigh food or count calories. It reduced my stressors and still helped me reach the desired results.

Which Fortify Meal was your favourite?

It is too difficult to choose just one! My favourites were the chicken curry and the beef stew!

When it comes to eating well, what are your top 3 recommendations?

I think, the most important thing is cutting out, or at least reducing processed foods. This is a tough one for me, but I am certainly limiting them more and more.
Another important thing is to make sure you are eating enough vegetables. This does not have to be lettuce and tomatoes! I myself do not like them and was thankful I rarely had them on Fortify. Find the veggies you like, have some variety, and load up on them.
The last thing is to realise that if you ate one unhealthy thing today, it should not mean today is a wasted day, and so you can keep eating junk. Just make better choices during the rest of the day.

How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

The main thing was to plan to eat my meals according to my daily activities, for instance if I had a chore or meeting which would be during my usual lunch time, I either ate lunch before or had a late breakfast as I feel nothing ruins a good meal plan like poor planning and being too hungry. The rest was quite easy as Fortify fits into any lifestyle.

What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

I like feeling able to do more activities and, to be honest, I feel much better when eating healthy. My gut health is better, I have more mental clarity, and my skin is better as I am fuelling my body with the good stuff.

Do you have any future goals?

I want to try using what I learnt by eating the Fortify meals to prepare healthier foods myself. I still plan to order Fortify Meals during stressful periods or when I am feeling unmotivated to help relieve some of the pressure of healthy eating, but it has already helped far more than I thought it would.

Would you recommend Fortify Meals, and why?

Definitely, in fact, my sister has already started ordering Fortify Meals periodically and we’ve got my mother interested too. And besides me always saying I loved them, basically anyone who has seen or smelled the fortify Meals I’ve received has been interested- and a little bit jealous 😀
